Airplanes and the beach

We’ve had a fun month now that I’m finally feeling better and able to go on more family outings.  2 weeks ago we visited the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum.  Oliver had SOO much fun.  Note that in a lot of the pictures, he has his mouth open in an “O” because he’s so excited!  He ran around so much and all the volunteer docents were amazed by how much energy he had.

Then we went camping on the beach with Shaun’s friends from work, Sally and Zach.  We went to a kite festival as well, but it started raining a lot just as we got there and there weren’t too many of the big kites out for us to see.  Oliver was happy to get to play in the sand and he likes the few kites we did see.

March 2013

Here are some pictures from the last couple months.  We were lucky enough to have Riley with us for a whole month to help me with Oliver while I was sick with the pregnancy.  I’m feeling a lot better now though.  Oliver will miss having his buddy here to play with and rough-house with! We also got to go to Las Vegas to visit Paul who just got home from his mission in West Africa.  He got to meet Oliver for the first time, and we had a lot of fun together as a family.  Oliver got to try his first “cake” since we celebrated his birthday a few weeks early with everyone.  My mom made a gluten free, dairy free, and egg free cake for him and he loved it.  Here are some of the photos of what’s been happening around here.

I can’t believe the little one is already one year old!  It really has gone by so incredibly fast.  I am grateful (almost) every day that I am able to stay home with Oliver and watch him grow.  We make each other laugh, and when Shaun gets home from work each day, he makes us laugh harder.  Here are some pictures from his birthday.  He loved opening presents and all the attention.  Also, we went to a tulip festival with Shaun’s cousin Meagan and her kids last weekend.  It was super fun and beautiful.  Anyways, Oliver loved the wooden mallet, even though he’s still learning how to hit the pegs in the toy from Great Grandma McEwen!  The teddy bear is huge; I tried to go to Target to buy him a normal sized teddy bear but they didn’t have any and Oliver cried when I tried to put the big one back on the shelf.  And since is WAS his birthday, I gave in an bought it.  I think we’ll return it today though and buy a smaller one online!  We love you all and thanks for all the birthday wishes.  We had a wonderful day completely focused on baby O!

April at the Zoo

I know some of these aren’t the greatest, but this is how I take pictures!  The zoo with the fam was super fun.  We’ve been having a good time on their Spring break this week and we even had nice weather for a trip to the zoo!  Hannah had a blast as did everyone else!
